Memory Café Series

A Memory Café is a warm, inclusive space for older adults living with memory changes, Alzheimer’s, and dementia, and their care partners. These gatherings create opportunities for connection, creativity, and supportive activities that enhance emotional and cognitive well-being.

Moira will lead Sound + Somatic Healing sessions, integrating therapeutic sound, gentle movement, and mindful awareness to encourage grounding, relaxation, and presence.

music for wellness AT FENWAY COMMUNITY CENTER

Music for Wellness is an immersive program that explores music as a pathway to self-regulation and deep relaxation. Through meditative piano performance and guided somatic practices—including mindful listening, breathwork, and visualization—participants are invited to gently shift their awareness inward, release tension, and reconnect with a sense of balance.

Blending artistic expression with evidence-informed wellness approaches, this experience offers accessible tools for calming the nervous system and cultivating presence in everyday life.

International Human Rights Art Festival (IHRAF)

Hysterical Women is a dance work choreographed by Kimberly Prosa (Contramune Dance), with an original score composed and performed by Moira Lo Bianco. The piece reclaims the historically oppressive label of “hysteria,” transforming it into a powerful expression of resistance, emotion, and feminist voice.

Sound Therapy Certification

(in person training)

This two-day, in-person certification training is designed for professionals in healthcare, mental health, movement, and holistic wellness fields who wish to incorporate sound therapy into their practice.

The program integrates clinical and somatic applications of sound, offering evidence-informed tools to support nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, and mind-body integration.

Participants will explore therapeutic sound protocols, trauma-informed facilitation, and somatic sequences that combine mindfulness, movement, breath, and sound therapy.

Certified by the Bioregulatory Medicine Institute and eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits through Yoga Alliance, the program integrates both clinical and somatic applications of sound.

Grounded in research and developed through a trauma-informed lens, this immersive training explores how audible and vibrational sound can be used as a therapeutic tool to support nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, and mind-body integration.

Participants will receive educational materials, resources, and a comprehensive workbook.

Instruments for practice will be provided by the instructor during the training.

Throughout the program, participants will:

  • Learn evidence-informed protocols for integrating sound therapy into somatic practices

  • Explore sound-based tools for nervous system support and self-regulation

  • Practice trauma-informed facilitation techniques

  • Engage in movement, breath, and sound sequences designed to promote embodied healing

  • Deepen their understanding of the science behind vibrational healing and neurophysiological regulation

Introduction to Sound Therapy and Somatic Healing

Moira currently offers one introductory online course that explore the therapeutic potential of sound and somatic healing. The course is eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits through Yoga Alliance.
